Warming up toward the weekend

Outside of a pop-up shower Friday evening, the dry weather will continue into next week

It was a spectacular day across the region. Sunny and seasonable, with highs in the mid and upper 70s.

Expect another clear and crisp night out there, followed by more warmth and sunshine Thursday.

The only difference will be that skies will turn a bit more hazy, as wildfire smoke from western Canada streams in our direction along the jet stream.

The same goes for Friday, and there is actually a chance for a pop-up late afternoon or early evening shower as a weak disturbance drops down from northern New England.

The weekend will feel like summer, as temperatures rise into the low and mid 80s, with a slight uptick in humidity as well.

Dry weather will continue until midweek next week at the earliest, as a possible low may form over the Carolinas and spread northward. But until then, enjoy this!!
