From spring warmup to winter storm? Mother Nature may run the gamut this week
Highs will reach the 50s this weekend, but colder air comes back just in time for our first storm of the month
Clear and chilly across the area tonight, but clouds will begin to move in near daybreak as a warm front nudges through the area. An early morning rain shower is possible as a result, but the clouds will quickly give way to sunshine throughout the morning. Another sunny afternoon is expected with highs back into the upper 40s to near 50.
The peak of the warmup will be on Saturday. After some early morning clouds/fog, some sun is expected later in the day. Some showers will move through during the evening, with sun returning for Super Bowl Sunday. High temperature will be slightly cooler but still around 50!
It is still early but we are keeping an eye on a storm system arriving after midnight Tuesday morning, With colder air coming back in, this likely means at least some snow for the area. There will likely be some degree of mixing with rain at the coast, while the potential for a heavy/wet snow exists further inland. As always…
