Warren altercation leaves one man with stab wounds, three others injured

WARREN, R.I. (WLNE) — Police are investigating a Sunday night altercation that left four people injured, according to the Warren Police Department.

Police responded to a residence on Brown Street Sunday night for a report of an altercation between two males.

Arriving officers found a 42-year-old male on the ground suffering from multiple apparent stab wounds and head injuries.

Another male subject, identified as Kyle DaSilvia, 39, was found in a nearby apartment attempting to hide.

DaSilvia had suffered minor injuries and was taken into custody.

Two female subjects were also injured during the altercation but were not involved in the stabbing.

Their injuries are non-life-threatening according to Warren police.

All four subjects in the incident were transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.

Police later obtained a search warrant for a residence related to the incident and recovered several knives.

DaSilvia was later transported to the Warren Police Department headquarters and was arraigned on one count of felony assault with a dangerous weapon.

He was also charged with disorderly conduct with bail set at $10,000.

He was later transported to the ACI and will face a judge in Newport District Court at a later date.

The incident remains under investigation, and Warren police said that further charges may be filed.
