Warren man gets 19-year prison sentence for child molestation

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Warren, R.I. man has been sentenced to serve 19 years in state prison after pleading guilty to multiple child molestation charges.

Christopher Kinney, 49, pleaded guilty in Providence County Superior Court on Jan. 3 to two counts of first-degree child molestation and one count of second-degree child molestation.

Kinney was sentenced to 35 years, with 19 years to serve at the ACI, and a 16-year suspended sentence with 35 years of probation.

The defendant must register as a sex offender and has been issued a no contact order between the defendant and the victims.

All three victims were under 14-years-old at the time of the assaults and were known to the defendant.
