WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Animal Shelter has increased the reward for information about a Siberian husky that was found dead in August 2023.

A reward of $2,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of any individual who is responsible for the death.

On Aug. 9 a “deceased, underweight, un-neutered” male husky was found wrapped in a sheet in a trash bag in Rocky Point Park.

The shelter said a necropsy revealed the dog died of heat stroke, and the outside temperature at the time was in the “low 80’s”

The reward was raised to $1,500 on Feb. 17 before being raised again.
