Warwick bank robbery suspect to appear before a judge

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A 39-year-old man is due in court today after police say he robbed a bank in Warwick.

According to Warwick police, the robbery happened Wednesday afternoon at the BankRI on Jefferson Boulevard.

Police say David Rogers handed a teller a note, demanding money.

The teller followed the instructions, giving the robber $1,000.

Police later arrested Rogers in Providence and he’s now charged with second-degree bank robbery.

He’ll be arraigned today at Kent County Courthouse.
