Warwick launches new health center in response to healthcare crisis

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — On Wednesday, Comprehensive Community Action Program announced the grand opening of its new health center located in Warwick in a ribbon cutting ceremony joined by Senator Reed, Senator Whitehouse, and Speaker Shekarchi.

CCAP’s new health center will accommodate for the community’s overwhelming demand for patient care.

The new facility’s key services will include Family Medicine, Behavioral Health in Primary Care, Chronic Disease Management, Medication Assisted Treatment, and various screening services.

CCAP said that its new Community Health Center plays a pivotal role in increasing access to primary care by eliminating barriers such as cost, lack of insurance, distance, and language.

Joanne McGunagle, CCAP CEO and President shared:

“The new facility not only represents a physical expansion but signifies our commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We are excited about the positive impact this will have on our community, and we look forward to continuing to serve as a trusted family health provider.”
