Warwick man charged with possession of child porn following FBI raid

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) A 47-year-old Warwick man was charged with the possession and distribution of child pornography following a raid on his home by the FBI and state and local police, federal prosecutors said today.

According to a statement from U.S.Attorney Aaron Weisman, court testimony claims that James Diggins interacted with an undercover FBI agent in online forums and chats related to the sexual exploitation of minors.

Investigators said Diggins sent the agent graphic videos of minors and a live image of himself.

Police and federal investigators executed a search warrant of Diggins’ residence earlier Wednesday that turned up additional images and videos on an electronic device, according to the statement.

Diggins was released to home confinement and electronic monitoring while the case awaits prosecution by  Assistant U.S. Attorney John McAdams.
