Warwick man convicted in death of 7-month-old daughter granted parole
WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A Warwick man sentenced for the involuntary death of his 7-month-old daughter in 2017 is granted parole.
Ryan Beeley, 43, fell asleep on top of his daughter Willow, suffocating her at their Airway Road home. Prosecutors said Beeley was under the influence of drugs at the time.
The infant’s death was ruled to be “asphyxiation by overlay.”
In 2020, Beeley was sentenced to 25 years with 10 to serve at the ACI, and the balance suspended with probation.
Beeley faced a Parole Board on Monday, the second time since the start of his sentence in May 2017.
Matthew Degnan, from the Rhode Island Parole Board said, “Mr. Beeley’s rehabilitative efforts, institutional record and parole plan meet parole release criteria set by the legislature. The Board voted to parole Mr. Beeley no sooner than June 2023 with conditions for parole supervision to address his transition to the community.”
He will be supervised by the Department of Corrections Probation and Parole division.
Willow’s mother, 34-year-old Mariah Ramos, was sentenced to a seven year suspended sentence with probation for her role in the death of her infant daughter in 2017.
