A Warwick man has claimed a $1 million PowerBall jackpot prize from the January 13th drawing.

Charles Scott Jr. matched all five numbers on his quick pick ticket but did not match the PowerBall number.

Scott says he bought the ticket at Conimicut Liquors on West Shore Road in Warwick after his wife reminded him the big drawing was that night. He was shocked to learn his it was a million-dollar winner, when he originally assumed he’d only won 500 dollars.

Scott and his wife plan to use some of the money to purchase a new vehicle.
