Warwick police arrest 2 for breaking into market, liquor store

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Police Department said two people were arrested for breaking into two businesses on Nov. 19.

43-year-old Melissa Bedford and 52-year-old Jose Capeles, both of Providence, were charged with breaking and entering, attempted breaking and entering, and conspiracy.

The department said that officers responded to West Shore Road around 8 p.m. the night if the incident to respond to an alarm activation at Warwick Liquors.

When officers arrived on scene, an alarm at the Bader Market on the same street also activated.

The department said that the front glass door of the liquor store was damaged, and the door at the market was successfully broken into.

Rhode Island Lottery tickets were allegedly taken from the market.

Bedford was arraigned and released on $10,000 surety, while Capeles was arraigned and released on $20,000 with surety.
