Warwick police arrest suspects in Little League break-in

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Warwick police have identified and arrested two suspects in the break-in of a Little League snack shack on Sunday.

Warwick North Little League’s President Sean Wiggins said that police identified the two teenagers who were caught on camera breaking into the shack around 3 a.m. on Thursday.

Little League staff previously said they felt confident that members of the community would help identify the suspects.

League Secretary and Coach Eric Shields said the community is tight-knit because they all played for the league, and now their children do, too.

“It’s got that sense of community, that family atmosphere, and it is truly is disappointing that someone would do this,” he told ABC 6 News.

The break-in resulted in a broken window that was patched within a day, which Shields said was a testament to the strength of the league’s bonds.
