Warwick Police arrest two men in connection with stolen tires and rims

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – Warwick Police arrested two men Monday night in connection to stolen tires and rims in the city.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., police were surveying various locations in Warwick due to the rise in tire and rim thefts.
Officers noticed a 2005 maroon Acura in a Holiday Inn Express parking lot that matched a suspect vehicle from prior larcenies.
As police stopped the vehicle at a nearby gas station, officers noticed several items inside relating to tire and rim thefts.
Belter Giron, 20, and Jonathan Adames, 20, both of Providence, were arrested and charged with one count each of Conspiracy to Commit Larceny.
Warwick Police has reported 18 incidents of tire and rim thefts since March 2017.
