Warwick Police officers donate board games to nursing homes

Members of the Warwick Police Department partnered with Walmart, Lowes, and Target to gather a large amount of board games to donate to nursing homes.

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – Members of the Warwick Police Department partnered with Walmart, Lowes, and Target to gather a large amount of board games to donate to nursing homes.

On Wednesday, the police department announced via twitter that their offered dropped off “some much needed activities” to residents at All American Assisted Living and Greenwich Farms in Warwick.

Members of the Warwick PD, with the help and generosity of Walmart (Bald Hill/Post Rd), Target (Warwick Mall/Bald Hill) and Lowes on Rt 5, were able to drop off some much needed activities to the residents at the All American assisted living and Greenwich Farms living facilities pic.twitter.com/VWp8aQGLyv

The donation comes two weeks after the governor ordered all nursing homes to restrict visitors from entering their facilities to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
