Warwick police respond to multiple crashes on same street

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Two separate crashes startled a Warwick neighborhood on Wednesday morning.

A car crashed into a house on Elmwood Avenue shortly after 6 a.m.

An ABC 6 News crew saw a heavily damaged white car behind yellow police tape.

The homeowners told ABC 6 on scene that a van crashed into the house and the parked white car.

They said the van was swerving onto the main road when it entered their yard and hit their car, which was parked near the house.

Police did not immediately confirm, but ABC 6 saw a van with heavy front-end damage on scene.

As police were investigating that crash, a car collided with a pole on the same street.

Police said the two crashes were unrelated.

It was unknown if there were any injuries.

No further information was immediately available.
