Warwick police search for man accused of robbing bank

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a bank in Warwick on Tuesday.

The robbery happened at about 9:30 a.m. at the Harbor One Bank on Post Road.

Two employees working at the time told police a man entered the bank and passed a note demanding cash. The suspect did not display a weapon, the employees said.

The workers secured themselves in a vault until police arrived. Police said that the suspect had fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male who’s about 5 foot 7 inches tall. At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a hat, and face covering.
