Warwick raises Ukrainian flag at City Hall

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi was joined by several city officials on Saturday for the raising of the Ukrainian flag at City Hall.

The flag was raised at 10 a.m. to support the victims in Ukraine.

“This is a symbolic gesture to express that the city of Warwick and it’s residents support the innocent victims of this war and our thoughts and prayers are with them,” said Picozzi.

The Mayor said that the flag was supplied by Senior Services Director Meg Underwood, whose grandparents emigrated from Ukraine.
