Washington Bridge maintenance could close up to two lanes in coming weeks

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Up to two lanes of traffic may be closed for bridge maintenance along I-195 Tuesday and Thursday nights this week according to RIDOT.

On Tuesday from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., this will affect 195 East.

On Thursday, during the same times, it will affect 195 West.

These lane closures will occur between Exit 1A and Exit 1 B/C on both sides on Tuesday and Thursday respectively.

This work will also happen on April 22 and 24 on 195 West at the same times.

Weekly Structural Health Monitoring system work will take place under the Washington Bridge with no lane closures.

This will occur from April 14-18 and April 21-25 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
