Watch for Black Ice through Sunday morning

Be careful stepping out the door through 9-10AM Sunday morning! Even though the sky had become mainly clear tonight the relative humidity levels were rather high and as a result roads and walkways became damp and because temperatures are below 32° there are areas of Black Ice on untreated surfaces out there.

Sunshine during the morning hours will get our temperatures climbing into the mid 30s through midday and then into the upper 30s for the afternoon. However, clouds will be on the increase during the afternoon. A weak wave of Low pressure will pass through northern New England tonight, but I’m not expecting any precipitation this evening and those clouds will actually be clearing late. As those clouds clear Arctic air will return to the region for Monday despite plenty of sunshine. Highs will only be in the mid and upper 20s, but a biting breeze will make it feel like its in the teens.

On Tuesday temperatures will make their way back to the mid 30s with a fair amount of sun. By Wednesday we’ll see highs back in the mid 40s, but another wave of Low pressure will move through the region bringing rain showers.
