Kent Hospital was without water for hours on Thursday night after water main was ruptured in Warwick.

Jim Beardsworth, spokesperson for Kent Hospital, tells ABC6 News that construction crews were working on Tollgate Road around 5:30 p.m. when they hit the water main, cutting off water to the hospital.

While the water off, water bottles were used and ambulances were diverted to nearby hospitals.

The water was restored at 7:30 p.m., though ambulances will not be diverted back to Kent until around 9 p.m.
