UPDATE: Repairs continue on water main break in Seekonk

SEEKONK, M.A. (WLNE) — Repairs to a water main break on Fall River Ave are expected to finish on Friday, authorities said on Thursday. Until then, parts of the roadway are still closed.

Seekonk Police said a water main break on Fall River Ave, also known as Luthers Corners, has prompted authorities to create a detour early Wednesday evening.

"We still have a portion of the roadway closed but anticipate the road being fully opened sometime around 4-4:30 pm. Steel plates will be used to cover the holes for tonight. Final patching will be completed on Friday, August 4," said Seekonk Police Chief Craig Mace.
