PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence’s Waterplace Park will host a daily outdoor dining experience starting Thursday.

The Department of Providence Parks and The Downtown Providence Park Network, also called Park Life, launched a program for people to enjoy locally made food and sweets with a view of the river.

“By activating entrepreneurs, increasing public art, and supporting small business vendors, we want to give people a reason to come downtown, enjoy our beautiful parks and patronize local businesses,” said Cliff Wood, co-board chair of Park Life.

Food carts will be out starting at noon on Thursday. The program is set to run daily through Sunday, Oct. 15.

The following schedule is planned:

Noon to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday

  • House of Boba
  • RI Munchies

Noon to 8 p.m. Thursday to Saturday

  • Trinity Retro Ice
  • Haitian.ish

11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday

  • Trinity Retro Ice
  • Haitian.ish

Ja Patty is also set to participate, but times have not been announced yet.

The public is advised to check @downtownpvdparks on Instagram in advance as the schedule may change.
