Weekend shooting: Passion Lounge closed pending board of licenses meeting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Passion Lounge in Providence remains closed after a shooting there this past weekend.

A board of licenses emergency meeting scheduled for Tuesday was moved to Thursday.

The chair said it’s his understanding that the lounge will remain closed until that hearing.

Police responded to Rhode Island hospital early Saturday morning after a man said he was shot at Passion Lounge.

He’s expected to recover.
