West Beach in New Bedford Reopens for Swimming

New Bedford (WLNE) – The City of New Bedford announced that West Beach reopened for swimming as of Saturday, September 4, 2021.

The reopening means that all New Bedford beaches are open for swimming, according to a city news release.

Part of West Beach had been closed to swimmers after the recent rains, so the water quality could be tested. That section has now reopened.
