West Nile Virus found in North Kingstown
NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) and the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) have announced a positive finding of West Nile Virus in the state.
The positive finding was in North Kingstown among 125 samples collected from 30 traps set statewide by DEM.
All other samples have tested negative for Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE).
