West Warwick accident sends 4 to hospital

A multi-car crash, including one vehicle that smashed into a West Warwick convenience store, sent 4 people to the hospital.

Police say they were called to the scene just before 1:00 a.m. in the area of 1669 Main Street.

Police say two cars were badly damaged and four people were transported to the hospital. Three have since been released and one remains hospitalized.

The convenience store, Breads N Stuff, was heavily damaged but was not open at the time of the accident.

Police say the accident it still under investigation.
