West Warwick crews tackle house fire on Sisson Street

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- The West Warwick Fire Department tackled a house fire on Friday afternoon.

ABC6 News Crews arrived to the Sisson Street house to see exterior damage from the fire.

Multiple crews managed to knock down the fire shortly after 5 p.m.

The fire appears to have started in the basement spreading to one side of the first floor.

One resident was home when the fire started, but was able to escape.

Seven people were displaced due to the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown as investigations continue.
