West Warwick man facing drug trafficking and firearms charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A West Warwick man has been charged with drug-trafficking and firearms-related crimes, according to the Rhode Island Attorney General’s office.

Reggie Jackson, 42, was charged with with one count of possession of one ounce to one kilogram of fentanyl, one count of possession of one ounce to one kilogram of heroin, one count of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, one count of possession with intent to deliver heroin, one count of possession of a firearm while possessing with the intent to deliver fentanyl and/or heroin, one count of possession of a firearm by a person previously convicted of a crime of violence and one count of possession of a large capacity magazine.

Members of the West Warwick SWAT team executed a court-authorized search warrant on Jackson’s residence on June 30, 2023, when he admitted to officers to having fentanyl inside one of the kitchen cabinets.

After a full search of the apartment, officers seized .308 caliber Ruger assault rifle, 12 large capacity magazines, approximately 137.47 grams of fentanyl, other quantities of suspected narcotics, digital scales, packaging materials and a drug ledger.
