West Warwick Police investigating 2 unrelated stabbing incidents

WEST WARWICK, R.I (WLNE) – West Warwick police are said they are currently investigating two separate and unrelated stabbing incidents that happened roughly within a day of each other.
Police say the first incident happened around 5:00 pm Friday, June 28th, when officers were dispatched to an apartment complex off of West Warwick Avenue for a report of two people had had been stabbed.
Both victims, male and female, received non-life-threatening injuries to their upper bodies after a domestic related incident.
According to police, the suspect in that case, a 29-year-old male. fled the scene before officers could arrive.
The second incident occurred on Saturday, June 29th, around 9:00 p.m, police say.
A group of people were involved in an argument on Washington Street, one male suspect pulled a knife and stabbed two other males.
The suspect, identified as a 42-year-old male, got into a vehicle and fled the scene.
The male victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The incidents are still under investigation at this time.
