West Warwick Police seek hit-and-run suspect

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – The West Warwick Police Department is seeking assistance locating a man wanted for a hit-and-run.

Police are seeking 25-year-old Jason ‘Wavy’ Oliveira, who was fled the scene of a hit-and-run involving an elderly man on May 11, 2017.

Oliveira has an extensive criminal background, police noted, including breaking and entering, resisting arrest, and firearm charges.

Oliveira stands at 5’7’’ and weighs around 180 lbs.

Anyone with information is strongly encouraged to call the West Warwick Police Department at: 401-821-4323, and is also advised to not approach or apprehend Oliveira.
