Westerly police, fire collect more than 5,000lbs of food for local pantry

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Westerly Police Department said they collected more than 5,000lbs of food to donate to a local pantry on Tuesday.

According to the department, they collected 2,760lbs of food on Sunday at their drive at the Stop & Shop supermarket on Franklin Street.

They also collected 2,680lbs last week, meaning they donated a total of 5,440lbs of food to the Pantry On The Lane in Bradford.
