Westport beaches closed to swimming due to rip currents

WESTPORT, Mass. (WLNE) — All Westport beaches are closed to swimming until further notice, according to a social media post from the Westport Fire Department.

While beaches are still open for walkers, swimmers must stay out of the water due to “dangerous surf conditions and rip currents,” according to the department.

The Horseneck Beach parking lot will close Wednesday at 6 p.m.
