Westport Police seeking donations for abused animals

Westport, Massachusetts, where more than 1,000 animals had to be removed from horrible conditions, as of today, have all officially been moved.

The animals were transported to a temporary shelter at the Westport Police Department.

Officials at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)  say that this undertaking is a lot to handle on their own.

Westport Police are now asking for the public to step in.

They’re asking for donations of:

-Water

– Gatorade

-Paper towels

-Packaged snacks for volunteers

-Work gloves

-Sunscreen

-Bug spray

-20’ tarps

-Horse corral panels

-Jolly balls (for the larger animals)

-Pine shavings

– Roper cattle halters
