Wet and windy Wednesday to impact Thanksgiving travel

Rain is arriving tonight and it will turn heavy by Wednesday morning. Around 1″ of rain is expected through the afternoon.

Winds will also be picking up overnight, and could gust 40-50 mph near the shore. Spotty power outages are possible for shore points. The winds could cause delays at our local airports as well.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, with a Gale Warning in effect for all waterways. This could impact local ferry services.

Rain will taper off Wednesday afternoon with skies clearing out at night. Thanksgiving Day will be bright but chilly, and a little breezy in the morning.

Black Friday and the rest of the holiday weekend will remain dry and in the 40s.
