Weymouth man arrested for robbing pair of RI banks

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – A Massachusetts man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a pair of robberies in East Providence and Pawtucket.

Keith Donovan, 41, of Weymouth, was arrested in Haverhill, Massachusetts Wednesday following an investigation into the robbery of a Citizens Bank location on Taunton Avenue in East Providence on May 23 and another on June 4, this one located on Smithfield Avenue in Pawtucket.

Detectives determined Wednesday that Donovan was in Haverhill and alerted the local police, who took him into custody.

Donovan is currently being held in Massachusetts as a Fugitive from Justice charge on warrants for both the East Providence and the Pawtucket robberies.
