Whaling City rebrands with ‘Explore New Bedford’

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — New Bedford has launched a rebranding campaign called “Explore New Bedford,” focusing on the city’s “history, culture and adventure.”

New Bedford’s Office of Tourism and Marketing unveiled the new slogan and logo Tuesday at the New Bedford Harbor Hotel.

There will be a new website along with the slogan and logo, emphasizing the city’s “favorite gems.”

ExploreNewBedford.org is set to launch on March 22 and will include detailed information and trip planners.

The new logo was designed by Medium Studio in New Bedford.

“The City’s emergence from the pandemic was an occasion to reset the City’s tourism messaging,” said New Bedford Mayor Jonathan Mitchell. “This new campaign puts the City in a stronger position to capitalize on regional travel and show off the City’s progress in a more advantageous way.”
