Wheeler’s Pezzuco Wins Girls Tennis State Singles Title, EG’s Lang/Turchetta Win Doubles Crown

Wheeler’s Julia Pezzuco defeated three-time defending champion Peri Sheinin of East Greenwich, 6-4, 6-4, to win the girls tennis state singles title Monday.

In the doubles final, EG’s Lee Lang & Sarah Turchetta took down LaSalle’s team of Sofia Michalowski & Mollie Maggiacomo in three sets to take home the crown.
