Wicked Warm Wednesday Weather

One more day! Today is the final day of our Heat Advisory, which will last until 8 PM. Temperatures will once again be in the upper 80s and low 90s, with heat indices in the mid 90s. Just your friendly reminder to hydrate, take breaks in the A/C, and check on your neighbors!

Another fly in today’s weather ointment is the fact that we’re watching out for a few showers and storms late this evening. While they look few and far between for the Ocean State, some of those storms could be strong or even severe with damaging, gusty winds. Make sure you’re staying weather aware, and have multiple ways to get severe weather Watches and Warnings!

Tomorrow, the front that’s spurring on our thunderstorms will leave New England! We’ll start the day with a few remaining showers and storms early, but we’ll see gradual clearing as the hours pass. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s. We’ll also switch to a northerly wind after the front, which will help to bring in more of that cool, dry air. As a result, Friday is arguably the nicest day of the week! The air will be dry and refreshing, high temperatures will be in the low 80s, and we’ll see plenty of sunshine!

The weekend follows suit… for the most part. Saturday looks nearly identical to Friday, although the air won’t be quite as dry. Still, it’ll be a great day to get outdoors. Sunday will bring a slight uptick in humidity and temperature, with highs in the mid to upper 80s by the end of the afternoon.
