Wind, Rain and Temperatures Swings!
We have a busy weather day on tap, starting with very mild temperatures. We’re currently in the 30s and 40s, and highs will be in the low to mid 40s by the afternoon. However, our mild temperatures are short-lived as a cold front arrives this afternoon. This front will drive showers, and even some brief pockets of heavier rain. It’ll also drive incredibly gusty winds– gusts in high-elevation areas and along the coast could get up to 50 mph. For that reason, we have a Wind Advisory in effect for all of southern New England until 10 PM tonight.
Cold air filters in after the front, and temperatures quickly drop. Overnight, we’ll be back in the teens, and Thursday’s highs will only be in the upper 20s and low 30s. It’ll be sunny, but breezy as well.
Friday will be more mild, with high temperatures in the low to mid 40s. However, don’t make outdoors plans, as we’ll see rain throughout the day as well. Rounds of rain will start late morning, and continue into Friday evening.
