Winds Howling Throughout Thursday!
Winds are howling on this Thursday morning, and will continue to do so throughout the day. We have a Wind Advisory and a Gale Warning in place, as wind speeds could reach 20-30 mph, and gusts could reach 55 mph. Wave heights in the Narragansett Bay could reach 9-12′. Not a great day to be out on the water.
With all that wind, even though temperatures will reach the low 40s today, it’ll feel like we’re only in the low 30s for most of the afternoon. Dress in layers! You can also pull out the sunglasses, as we’ll see sunshine throughout most of our Thursday. That said, thanks to some lake effect moisture and the strength of the wind, we could see a few extra clouds, and a rain/snow shower late this afternoon. Any precipitation we see will be short-lived.
While not as windy as today is, Friday remains breezy. We’ll see plenty of sun, but temperatures will only be in the mid to upper 30s. Temps decrease more from there. Sunshine sticks around for the weekend, but both days will only be in the low 30s.
The cold continues with the start of the workweek. Clouds increase Monday, as a storm passes to our south. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this one, as it could mean snow if the track shifts north.
Have a great weekend!
