Wintry weather on the horizon!
Clouds have filled in. Scattered rain and/or snow showers this afternoon with temperatures in the 30s. Overnight, we’ll see steadier snow with minor accumulation. Wednesday we could see some freezing rain that may lead to pockets of light icing. Our state could see this impact over northwesternmost parts of Providence County. Rain will accompany us Wednesday night through Friday Morning with patches of fog. Temperatures will be on the mild side to end the week, from the upper-40s to around 50. Saturday we’ll enjoy a break from this unsettled stretch. Mostly cloudy skies with temperatures above average in the mid-40s. Saturday night into Sunday we could be impacted by a potential coastal storm that could bring snow, ice, rain or a mix. Behind this storm, we’ll end up with colder temperatures, back to mid to low 30s. Stay tuned…it is winter after all.
