Dry weather continues Friday, tracking quick batch of showers Saturday night

We’ll continue the trend of beautiful weather as we head through this evening! Expect overnight lows in the mid to upper 50s. Clouds will increase throughout the evening and into tomorrow as well.

Friday will bring a few changes to the weather. While the day looks nice overall, we’ll keep a few more clouds around, and the humidity will tick up as well. Highs will remain in the upper 70s. The toughest conditions will be along the coast, as well as for anyone heading out to the Cape and the Islands. This is because of an area of low pressure a few hundred miles off the Mid-Atlantic coast that will be churning up the water as it moves north. For that reason, we do have Rip Current Statements, High Surf Advisories and Small Craft Advisories in place from Friday through Saturday evening.

On Saturday, we’ll continue to feel some stickiness in the air, and temperatures will remain in the mid 70s. We’ll continue to see clouds building throughout the day as a cold front moves in from the west. Timing, however, is on our side when it comes to this front! Rain and storms will be relatively short-lived, and won’t arrive until very late Saturday evening. They’ll hang around until early Sunday morning, but by midday Sunday, we’re back to sunshine!
