Woman accused of stealing items from parked cars due in court

WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — A Massachusetts woman is due in court Tuesday morning, after Wareham police said she stole items out of unlocked cars.

Officers were called to the Stop and Shop on Cranberry Highway Sunday after reports of a woman walking through the lot, pulling on car doors.

When police arrived, they say 34-year-old Cassandra Lewandowski tried to toss a loaded gun and caught her with several stolen items.

Lewandowski is set to be arraigned this morning on breaking and entering, larceny, and gun charges.
