Woman arrested after causing disturbance at a Providence middle school

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said a woman was arrested after causing a disturbance at Community Preparatory School on Tuesday.

According to police, the woman allegedly “made threats toward a staff member” over the phone.

Shortly after, the woman then showed up at the middle school with a 9-year-old child and “caused a disturbance,” police said.

The woman was arrested without incident and the child was released to the father, police said.

The woman was charged with disorderly conduct and disturbance of public assembly.
