Woman arrested after leading Police in a foot pursuit in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – A woman was arrested and is facing multiple charges after failing to stop for Providence police early Sunday morning.
Police say at 1:17 a.m, Sara Fogarty, a 27-year-old from Providence, did not stop for them on Ophelia street, and subsequently crashed her vehicle.
Fogarty then fled the scene on foot, and after a brief pursuit, was apprehended by police.
Fogarty was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash, then she was released and transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later turned over to the ACI.
According to police, Fogarty was arrested on: Operating with a Suspended License, Reckless Driving – Eluding, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-II (Cocaine).
