50-year-old Michelle Larracuente, charged with hiring a hit man to kill a police officer's mother, and with intent to burn the house down, is back behind bars for another incident. This time for threatening Providence City Councilman, Michael Correia.
"Her first arrest was due to her planning to murder someone. It was also due to her planning to set fire to two houses,” said Major David Lapatin of the Providence Police Department. "She has very dangerous tendencies and we have to keep an eye on her."
According to a police report, city councilman Michael Correia was on Health Ave in Providence, helping with a street cleanup. That’s when he got a threatening phone call from Michelle Larracuente.
"She was involved in a phone conversation in a threatening manner with a councilman,” confirmed Major Lapatin.
She claimed he was on her property and wanted him off immediately. She reportedly told Correia that he should be careful of what he was doing, and that he is a councilman, and things could happen. When asked if this was a threat, Larracuente allegedly replied, "Take it any way you want."
"Luckily we were right on top of it and an arrest was made,” said Major Lapatin.
Officials determined Larracuente also violated the terms of her bail, and left home confinement.
