Woman arrested for robbery, police chase

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A 22-year-old woman is facing numerous charges for a robbery Thursday morning.
According to the Pawtucket Police Department, Marilyn Sanchez entered the Pawtucket Credit Union located on Broadway around 11:30 a.m., and handed the teller a note, demanding money.
The teller told police that the note handed to her said Sanchez was in possession of a firearm, but no weapon was visible.
Sanchez took an undisclosed amount of money, and fled the scene in a motor vehicle.
Pawtucket Police spotted the vehicle Sanchez took off in and pursued it into Providence.
Police said that with the assistance of the Providence Police Department, authorities were able to apprehend Sanchez in a parking lot located at Hawkins St and Branch Ave., in Providence.
Sanchez was taken into custody, and the money from the bank was recovered as well, police noted.
Marilyn is facing the following charges:
- 2nd Degree Robbery.
- Eluding Law Enforcement Officer with a Motor Vehicle.
- Driving after Denial/Suspension/Revocation of License.
She is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
