Woman carjacked at knifepoint in Warwick
WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – A woman was carjacked at knifepoint in Warwick around 9 a.m. on Saturday, police said.
According to police, a man pulled a knife a woman outside a store on the 1500 block of Bald Hill Road after asking if she needed help, and took her SUV.
The woman and a bystander tried stopping the suspect, police said, and the bystander almost got hit by the vehicle.
There were no injuries, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male about 5’05″ with a thin build.
The stolen vehicle is a gray 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV with Rhode Island registration XR-103.
