Somerset woman charged with stealing tens of thousands from school club

SOMERSET, Mass. (WLNE) – A Somerset woman has been charged with stealing nearly $35,000 from a high school athletic club.

A charge was filed Thursday accusing 51-year-old Dulce Pacheco with larceny over $1,200 for allegedly stealing $34,500 from the Somerset-Berkley Regional High School Athletic Boosters Club. 

Pacheco served as the Treasurer for the Booster Club. The DA’s office said she may have used the stolen money to pay off her mortgage. 

Pacheco will be arraigned on March 18 in Fall River District Court.
