Woman charged with killing lover held without bail

A Middletown woman facing murder charges for strangling her partner to death was held without bail Thursday.

33-year old Melissa Castle was indicted on one count of murder by a grand jury. She pleaded not guilty.

Police say Castle confessed to killing her lover, Rachel Kilroy, inside their Middletown apartment back in late August.

She’s been held without bail since her arrest and is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on January 22nd.
